Stem Cell Breast Augmentation
Natural Breast Augmentation With Fat
Achieved With Stem Cell Breast Augmentation by Dr. Calabria
Reduced
Body Fat
Stem cell breast augmentation is accomplished with the patient’s own body fat. Using liposuction techniques, excess fat is harvested from a troublesome area, such as the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, or back. The fat is then purified and injected with micro-cannulas into the breasts for augmentation. Along with their newly augmented breasts, patients experience the benefit of losing several inches of fat from the donor site. Clothing fits better, fatty areas are firmer, and the feminine shape of the body is more defined.
Fuller
Breasts
Stem cell breast augmentation adds youthful fullness to the breasts in a way that is natural in every sense of the word. The patient’s own fat is used and injected to create fullness that is natural to the touch and in appearance. Since fat is naturally and easily held in the breasts, this area is one of the best to receive stem cell fat injections.
Low
Risk
The body treats both silicone or saline implants as foreign objects and will respond by forming scar tissue around them. While this is considered a normal part of the traditional breast augmentation process, up to 40 percent of patients develop scar tissue that hardens to the point of pain, deformity, and the need for breast revision surgery with implant exchange. Stem cell fat grafting avoids the risks associated with implants by using a natural source for augmentation that will not be rejected: the patient’s own fat.
What Does a Stem Cell Breast Augmentation Entail?
Stem cell breast augmentation begins with liposuction. Once general anesthesia has been effectively distributed, a cannula is inserted through small incisions (about an inch in length) in a fatty area of the body, such as the lower abdomen. Fat is gently removed from the body without destroying the necessary cells. The fat is then processed with a device that purifies the stem cells. Once this is complete, the purified stem cells and fatty tissue are injected strategically into the breasts for augmentation. The entire procedure is performed at one time and takes about four to six hours to complete.
The costs associated with stem cell breast augmentation surgery will vary depending on the extent of your procedure, cost of anesthesia, facility fees, and surgical fees. The U.S. national average surgeon fee for breast augmentation with fat grafting in 2015 was $4,103. Dr. Calabria will be able to provide a more accurate cost estimate for your unique procedure during your consultation.
Recovery from stem cell breast augmentation is typically much easier than recovery from breast augmentation using implants. Your recovery will depend on the extent of liposuction performed and the particular area that was liposuctioned. Patients typically plan for two weeks off from work but are often able to resume light routine activities after one week. Be sure to follow Dr. Calabria’s specific instructions regarding exercise so you do not interfere with healing and with the settling of the newly injected fat.
After the procedure, you will continue to see improvement in the weeks to come as the implanted fat gradually becomes part of your breasts. You can expect to see improvement in your breast size and volume. It can take six months or more for the full results to become apparent.
